The Department of Mathematics offers a minor program in mathematics designed to enable students with a significant interest in mathematics to deepen their knowledge while pursuing a major in another field, thereby providing these students with a broad and deep mathematical foundation that is extremely valuable to employers and graduate schools seeking students with quantitative skills. Mathematical methods are used today in a variety of careers including accounting, finance, economics, biology, psychology, engineering, and computer science.

A 2.0 average on the 3000-4000 level courses as well as on all courses in the minor.
