Students seeking licensure to teach Physics should pursue their major through Physics: STEM Education, B.S.  

Additional Information and Notes

Minimum of 39 hours of 3000 and 4000 level courses, which includes a minimum of 30 hours in physics and/or astronomy at the 3000 and 4000 level.

An approved First Year Experience course taken from another department or institution can satisfy the PHYS 1250 requirement. This requirement is waived for majors who transfer into UTC with more than 15 hours of earned college credit.

2.0 GPA in all required major and related courses.

Electives to complete 120 hours.
